Overview

Rini Spiel is an austrian painter, lives and works in Vienna.

 

Her large-scale acrylic works are characterised by vivid colours, bold brushwork and a vibrant, playful visual language. Drawing inspiration from everyday life, she transforms familiar motifs into rhythmic compositions that celebrate joy, movement and presence.

 

Spiel studied Art and Communication/Contextual Design at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, and Graphic Design at the University of Applied Arts Vienna.

 

Her paintings have featured in various group exhibitions, including Showroom Schottentor (2022), Young Art at the Uro Centre (2021) and The Essence 06 - Black and White are Infinite (2006). Alongside her studio practice, she has created site-specific works for hotels and restaurants and collaborated on art labels for the Museum of Applied Arts Vienna and Gassner Winery (2023).

 

Since 2021, Spiel has maintained a strong presence on Instagram, sharing her work and engaging with an international audience. Her works are held in numerous private collections and living rooms, reflecting their direct and joyful connection with everyday life. She also teaches art and design in Vienna.

 

Her painting practice unites clarity of design with expressive vitality - a celebration of colour, pattern, and the beauty of modern life.
